Test Engineer - Linux servers (A12670)


Brno | full-time | international team | new technologies | room to grow We are looking for a technically skilled and curious Test Engineer specializing in Linux servers, someone who’s not afraid to dive deep into system internals and understands networking, security, and scripting. This position is for our client – a leading manufacturer of electronics and IT solutions with a development, manufacturing, and testing center for server systems located in Brno, serving clients across the globe.

What will you be working on?

Building and maintaining testing environments for new hardware or software Data backup and recovery, documenting technical solutions Collaborating with the development and QA teams, analyzing and reporting  Installing and managing Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, RHEL) Administering file systems (ext4, XFS, ZFS), access rights, and RAID setups Monitoring and troubleshooting system processes, services, and logs Configuring network services and security features – firewalls, VPNs, TLS, certificates Working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including SQL query optimization Automating processes using Bash, Python (bonus: Ansible, Terraform) Using containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and identity management (LDAP, FreeIPA)

Požadujeme:

A degree in IT (high school or university) or equivalent practical experience Linux skills – you’re comfortable with systems, networking, and scripting Ideally experience in Linux server administration Ability to communicate technical topics in English (B2 level) Ability to communicate technical topics in Czech (B1 level) Experience with databases, security, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible is a plus Willingness to learn and try new tools – this company will actively support your growth
