We are looking for a new colleague to join our development team and contribute to the Factory Software (FSW) – a C# application with a graphical interface, deployed directly in production lines. This software plays a key role in the manufacturing of fingerprint scanners, handling both image data processing and communication with a variety of hardware devices. The role offers a wide range of tasks – from GUI design and algorithm development to low-level programming. What you will do:

• Design, develop, and test software that supports manufacturing and hardware qualification.
• Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines to integrate software into production processes.
• Communicate with production teams across different locations and address their needs.
• Analyze logs and production data to optimize and improve existing solutions.
• Estimate effort, define timelines, and deliver tasks according to plan.
• Build tools for testing, diagnostics, and process automation.
• Maintain deployed applications and continuously enhance them.

Požadujeme:

What we expect:

• Strong skills in C# and Windows GUI application development.
• Ability to integrate and troubleshoot external hardware/software.
• Experience working with USB devices.
• Familiarity with version control systems (preferably git).
• Solid understanding of multithreading, multitasking, and system-level programming.
• Independent working style combined with good teamwork skills.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of C/C++.
• Experience with Python scripting and automation.
• Background in biometrics or image recognition.
• Familiarity with USB 2.0/3.0 protocols and device driver installation.

Requirements:

• Technical degree (Bachelor’s minimum, Master’s preferred).
• Experience: at least 5 years (BA) or 3 years (MA).
• Good command of English (spoken and written) for daily communication and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Czech or Slovak is a strong advantage.
• Legal eligibility to work in the Czech Republic.
