AI Engineering Team Lead

Location: Ostrava/ Hybrid - 1 day in office

This role sits at the intersection of engineering leadership and hands-on delivery. You’ll lead a team of talented AI/ML engineers while working closely with product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver production-grade AI solutions at scale.

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI/ML engineers through regular 1:1s, code reviews, and continuous feedback
• Own and drive the team’s SDLC processes: sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives (Scrum)
• Ensure production stability and operational excellence of AI applications, including incident response and support escalation

Promote engineering best practices across:

• Testing strategies
• CI/CD pipelines
• Documentation standards
• Code quality and maintainability

Požadujeme:

What You Bring

• 5–7+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years in a team lead or technical lead role, i.e Acting TL
• Proven experience supporting production systems, including on-call rotations, incident management, and SLA ownership
• Proficiency in Python, with experience using frameworks such as FastAPI, Pydantic, or similar
• End-to-end SDLC ownership: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tooling and LLM-based application development
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
