Regulatory Compliance Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Overall management of the Tech Data import and export operations and ensure compliance with the relevant EU/Local and US regulations and controls.
• Ensure compliant Customs and export control processes and procedures are established and functioning in respect of all import and export transactions of Tech Data.
• Manage Import/Export (“IMEX”) staff who work on operational activities related to the International supply of goods and services.
• Establish, review, develop and implement internal procedures to effectively manage and control the import-export operations.
• Provide support and advice to sales and logistics team to help conducting compliant overseas business.
• Assist other teams by providing technical information and guidance to ensure compliant declarations (Intrastat, VAT).
• Provide advice regarding Customs and Export Control compliance to assist new business development and support local and corporate wide strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all necessary Export Licenses are obtained and declared and all records are retained including submission of export licence applications.
• Maintain an overview of all import/export related activities by Tech Data and ensure that the necessary required Customs and Export controls are in place, effective and relevant.
• Control the import and export operations with all related documentations (SAD, POD, HAWB, Carrier invoices).
• Maintain a record of all legal documentation related to import-export controls.
• Perform internal audits of import/export operations and compliance in Tech Data under control of the Tech Data Regulatory Compliance department.
• Review Vendor and Customer agreements to ensure appropriate export/compliance clauses are included.
• Report monthly the import and export activity
• Report monthly quality and quantity measures to IMEX team for consolidation into European activity report; assist in development of new/different reports.
• Provide support and assistance for Tech Data IMEX activities across other European countries.
• Respond to all enquiries from external Customs and Export Control authorities and liaise with internal and external auditors.
