Junior Data Scientist / Data Consultant (Brno - Praha)

You will become a junior member of Insight (data analytics) team within the Management Consulting department and participate on delivering Data Science and Big Data solutions for our clients in the Czech Republic, CEE, and worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Participating in the design and delivery of Data Science and Big Data solutions for our clients
• Harvesting, cleansing, and processing data from different sources
• Developing, testing, and validating predictive models
• Writing business proposals and business cases

Required skills

• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong analytical, numerical and/or programming skills
• University degree or student of master program (preferably in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, econometrics, computer science)
• Basic experience with database and data mining / statistical tools (T-SQL, PL/SQL, SAS, SPSS, R, Python)
• Basics of data discovery, modelling, retrieval and profiling
• Basics of data mining, predictive modelling and statistics
• Focus on detail (data and output quality)
• Advanced spoken and written English

Nice to have skills

• Advanced programming in SQL, R and / or Python
• Experience with harvesting of external data (open databases, social media)
• Experience with developing predictive models (regression, decision trees, neural networks)
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, Shiny)
• Basics of Big Data frameworks and tools (Hadoop, Spark, MS Azure)
• General knowledge of banking, insurance, telco, retail, energy and utilities
