ABOUT THE ROLE:

Senior Credit Analyst Specialist is responsible to perform the credit check for new customers, monitor the risk for the existing customers and calculate the credit limits. This role is also a key point of contact for Sales Teams, Collections Officers and Credit Manager for any questions regarding risk assessment methodology and granting commercial credit to company customers.

Within your role, some of your key responsibilities will be:

    • Credit risk assessment and monitoring for new and existing customers
    • Request the report on customer from external credit agency and analyse the risk indicated in the report, conduct the analysis of internal credit history
    • Review requested payment term and advise on whether the payment term could be approved based on customer risk
    • Advise Sales teams and rehabilitate overdue accounts
    • Provide the list of active customers, request the updated credit data for these customers
    • Load the external credit data in SAP - analyze and calculate risk categories and changes
    • Credit limit calculation for existing customers on monthly and half-yearly basis or as per ad-hoc request
    • Launch the credit limit calculation in SAP for active customers
    • Review of daily notifications from external credit agency, analyze the reason of high-risk and verify the potential impact
    • Credit risk master data maintenance - updating master-data in SAP for new customers, credit limit calculation parameters
    • Participate in credit management initiatives and improvement projects - initiate or take part in the projects to increase efficiency and standardize credit assessment / credit limit calculation process
    • Coaching of employees on agreed process documentation and expectations
    • Assisting in training new employees within the role
    • Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader

 

THE IDEAL PROFILE:

    • University education is preferred
    • Fluent knowledge of English and Dutch (spoken and written)
    • Minimum 1 year previous related work experience required
    • Good computer skills (mainly Excel); knowledge of SAP would be a great advantage
    • Strong coordinating skills
    • Good analytical skills and problem solving skills
    • Ability to build productive working relationships – internally and externally
    • Excellent communication skills
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
