Inevitably, with 3 boys, 2 dogs and 2 working parents life is quite hectic and noisy. Now that Sam is away during the week at boarding school we try and stick to our routine as much as possible during the week to make sure that we get everything done. However, the boys are busy with their sport, drama and music after school too. We quite often have rugby matches to go and watch either for Fergus or Sam. Sam is only about 30 minutes away at school and he comes home on a Saturday morning, once school is finished. At the weekends and in the holidays we like to entertain friends. The boys like to have friends over to stay, particularly in the holidays. We really enjoy visiting the cinema and the boys like bowling, ice skating and cooking. We have a pool table, table tennis, trampoline and swim spa at home which keep the boys busy. They also love playing rugby, football and cricket in the garden, we are lucky to have plenty of space outside and inside the house. Recently, the boys have learnt a lot of card games, which they love to play. Sam has learnt a lot of card tricks at school which they really enjoy too. They like playing on their Nintendo Wii and computers too, but I prefer that they don’t do this too much. At the weekends, especially in the winter, we enjoy ‘family movie night’ either in front of the television or at the cinema. They do fight sometimes but they also have a lot of fun together. Usually, if you leave them to it, they will work out their differences on their own. When the weather is better we all love going out on our bicycles. In the holidays we try and have a day out to a theme park such as Alton Towers. Life is very busy and hectic and now that I will be away more often with work, we are really just trying to make life a little easier so that we don’t spend all weekend doing chores and so that we are not too tired to enjoy our time together at the weekends. My parents live about ¼ mile away on the same driveway and Steve’s parents and siblings live in Ireland, so we like to go and visit them when we can.
